FAQs & Tips for Success
- How long will the shots need to sit in the fridge? You should let the shots sit in the fridge for a minimum of two hours. However, they may need to sit a bit longer.
- Do I have to use strawberry gelatin? Yes, using strawberry gelatin is ideal because it pairs perfectly with the Sour Apple Pucker to create an incredible strawberry apple taste. However, if you don’t like strawberry gelatin, you can use cherry or a different flavor as a replacement.
- Feel free to make these in advance. It’s fine to make the Strawberry Apple Jello Shots in advance to serve at a party.

How to Make the Strawberry Apple Jello Shots
- Heat your water. Add your cup of water to a pot, place the pot on the stove, and heat it until the water comes to a boil.
- Put gelatin in a bowl. Open your gelatin packet and pour it into a metal bowl.
- Add the water. Pour the boiling hot water on top of the gelatin into the bowl. Stir the two ingredients together for two minutes.
- Add your alcohol. Pour the Sour Apple Pucker into the bowl, stirring it to blend.
- Pour and refrigerate. Add the contents of your mixing bowl into the individual plastic disposable cups. Place the cups in the fridge and allow them to sit until they’ve become solid.

Jello Shot Essentials
- Condiment cups – Unless you have a large stash of shot glasses, you’ll want to make your jello shots in condiment cups. Most jello shots are made in 2 ounce condiment cups but if you want the shots to go further, you can use 1 ounce condiment cups instead.
- Sauce pan – You’ll want to use a decent, non-stick saucepan for preparing your Jello shots. We like this one.
- Baster – A baster is my secret to easily filling the Jello shot cups, without making a mess!
- Measuring cups – To ensure you’re adding the right amount of water and liquor, you’ll want a decent measuring cup as well.

How to Store
Cover your disposable cups full of gelatin with plastic wrap to keep them protected while storing them in the fridge. Be sure to leave them in the fridge until you’re ready to serve and enjoy them with your loved ones.
