- You’ll also need boiling water and cold water for this recipe.

How to Make the Slytherin Jello Shots
- Read the jello instructions. First, follow the instructions on the green Jello box.
- Combine the jello mixture and refrigerate. You’ll mix the contents of the box with boiling water, pour it into a bowl, and then set it in the fridge for a minimum of four hours.
- Mix the unflavored gelatin. Next, mix two envelopes of unflavored gelatin with a cup of hot water and add a cup of cold water before whisking everything.
- Add black food dye gel and put it in the fridge. Add two drops of the black food dye gel and whisk again before placing it in the fridge to sit for four hours.
- Put the jello into shot glasses. Break up your jello into pieces and put them in shot glasses/containers.
- Add colors to the shot glasses. Add some of each color to each shot glass. Grab a large bowl, pour the two envelopes of unflavored gelatin into it, add ½ cup of cold water, and then let it sit for five minutes.
- Add boiling water, rum and condensed milk and let them cool. Once it begins to bloom, add a cup of boiling water and ½ cup of rum, stir, add the condensed milk, stir again, and set aside until it cools down.
- Refrigerate overnight. Once it cools down, pour it on top of your mixture in the shot cups and then place them in the fridge, allowing them to sit overnight.

Jello Shot Essentials
- Condiment cups – Unless you have a large stash of shot glasses, you’ll want to make your jello shots in condiment cups. Most jello shots are made in 2 ounce condiment cups but if you want the shots to go further, you can use 1 ounce condiment cups instead.
- Sauce pan – You’ll want to use a decent, non-stick saucepan for preparing your Jello shots. We like this one.

Description
If you’re a Harry Potter fan, you’ll love these tasty and fun Slytherin Jello Shots. They’re perfect to prepare for special occasions, including family gatherings and parties with friends!
Ingredients
- 3 ounce box green Jello
- 2 drops black food gel dye
- 14 ounce can sweetened condensed milk
- 4 envelopes unflavored gelatin
- 6 cups boiling water (divided)
- 2 cup cold water
- 1/2 rum; or other choice of liquor
- (For non alcoholic replace rum with 1/2 cup hot water)
Instructions
- Mix green jello per the box directions and place the jello into a bowl into the fridge for at least 4 hours until set.
- Mix together two envelopes of unflavored gelatin with 1 cup hot water then 1 cup add cold water and whisk well. Mix in two drops of black gel dye. Whisk well. Place in fridge to set for at least 4 hours.
- Break up Jello and place into Jello shot cups. A little of each color works well.
- In a separate large bowl, sprinkle 2 envelopes of unflavored gelatin into 1/2 cup cold water and allow to sit for 5 minutes. After the gelatin blooms (it will look mostly dissolved and get wrinkly on the surface), add 1 cup boiling water and 1/2 cup rum (replace with water if you want nonalcoholic); stir to dissolve.
- Add the can of condensed milk and stir to combine; set aside to cool to room temperature. It must cool or it will melt the green and black jello. Pour the cooled milk mixture over the green and black Jello in the shot cups.
- Place in the fridge overnight to set. Serve nice and cold for a fun harry potter treat.
