Easy Halloween S’mores Dip

Halloween s’mores dip is the easiest dessert I can think of, and it makes a great addition to your table, whether for a full-blown Halloween bash or a lowkey dinner with friends or family. It only needs three ingredients and a couple of minutes in the oven. I love making it as a last-minute addition or if I end up with an unexpected guest.

It’s great for parties because I haven’t met a person yet who doesn’t like s’mores – if you need something that’s a guaranteed crowd-pleaser, this dip is your new best friend. Another thing that makes it so great for parties is that you can scale the recipe up super easily by just using more of the ingredients and a bigger pan.

There are no hard and fast measurements for this recipe, which is another thing I love about it. I don’t have to think too hard when I’m making it, and I can just dump the ingredients in the pan and pop it in the oven. Use any chocolate you like to customize your dip, and use whatever spooky marshmallows your heart desires – it’s all up to you.

Why You’ll Love This Halloween Dessert Dip

  • So fast and easy – This dip comes together in less than 15 minutes from start to finish. It’s great as a last-minute contribution to a party you’re attending or for an impromptu gathering after the trick-or-treating is done.
  • Chocolatey, gooey goodness – Everyone loves s’mores, and this dip is no exception. It’s full of melted chocolate and melted, toasty marshmallows – what’s not to love?
  • Ready to make – I always have some kind of chocolate and marshmallows on hand. Forgot you signed up to bring dessert to the neighborhood potluck? No worries! This dip is quick and only needs three ingredients.

What You’ll Need

With only three ingredients and just 10 minutes in the oven, Halloween s’mores dip is a super simple dessert to serve at any party.

  • Chocolate chips –  Usually, I keep semi-sweet chocolate chips for baking, but you can use any chocolate that you prefer.
  • Halloween Peeps – Halloween Peeps come in 4 types, and you can use any of them for your dip – or combine more than one type for the ultimate spooky treat.
  • Graham crackers – Graham crackers are the final ingredient for a classic s’mores, and they’re the perfect complement to the dip. I like honey graham crackers, but you can use the cinnamon ones if you like.

How to Make Halloween S’mores Dip

This s’mores dessert dip is almost ridiculously easy to put together.

  • Layer the dip. In a baking dish, layer the chocolate chips and then place the marshmallows in a single layer on top.
  • Bake the dip. Bake the dip until the chocolate is melted and the marshmallows are golden.
  • Serve the dip. Serve the dip with graham crackers, strawberries, or cookies, or just dig a spoon into it.

Halloween Dessert Dip Tips and Variations

  • Marshmallows can go from golden to burnt faster than you can say “s’mores” – so keep an eye on the dip as it bakes.
  • You can use any type of Halloween marshmallow that you prefer – skulls, ghosts, pumpkins, or monsters, or use a combination of all of them!
  • Use peanut butter or butterscotch chips along with the chocolate chips for more flavor and an even more flavorful dip.

Serving Suggestions

  • Graham crackers are, of course, a classic s’mores ingredient, but there are so many things you could use as a vehicle for s’mores dip – think pretzels, potato chips, cubes of pound cake, strawberries, Halloween sugar cookies – get creative!

How to Store Dessert Dip

You can keep any leftover dip covered at room temperature or in the refrigerator for about 3 days. Pop it back into the oven to heat it before enjoying it again.
