Easy White Christmas Mimosa Recipe

I love mimosas. They’re fun, fruity, and so easy to make. These White Christmas Mimosas are no exception and may be one of my favorites. In place of the traditional orange or pineapple juice, these holiday mimosas are made with white grape juice for a light, fruity flavor that pairs perfectly with champagne.

To give it a holiday flare, I added fresh cranberries (though I bet sugared cranberries would be great too!), some green grapes, and rosemary. Then it’s just pour, serve, and enjoy!

What You’ll Need

You’ll need just 2 ingredients and a few garnishes for these beautiful holiday mimosas.

  • White grape juice – Or, if you prefer, you can use white cranberry juice, such as Welch’s.
  • Champagne – See notes below.
  • Garnishes – For a festive twist, I like to garnish these Christmas mimosas with cranberries, green grapes, and fresh rosemary.

What Type of Champagne Is Best For Mimosas?

You can use champagne or a sparkling wine like Cava or Prosecco to make your mimosas. If you opt for real champagne, avoid anything that says “doux”, avoid it as it will be way too sweet. “Dry’ and “extra dry” are both options that will give you a slightly sweet flavor while “brut” will offer the least amount of sweetness.

Prosecco is a sparkling wine from Italy and also a great option for mimosas. Again, just pay attention to the “dry” and “brut” label.

How to Make White Christmas Mimosas

These mimosas are certainly this easy Christmas cocktail you will make this holiday season!

  • Combine the juice and champagne. Pour the juice and champagne into your champagne flute.
  • Garnish. Garnish as desired with cranberries, green grapes, and a sprig of rosemary.

Tips for Success

Here are a few tips for making the best white Christmas mimosas.

  • Adjust the ratios to your preference. If you prefer your mimosas with more or less champagne, simply adjust the ratio of the champagne and juice.
  • Chill the ingredients first. Since mimosas are not served over ice, it’s important to chill the champagne and juice ahead of time.
  • Do not try to shake the drink. While it may seem common sense, I do want to mention that you should not try to chill your white Christmas mimosas in a shaker. You’ll end up with a big mess!
  • Pour just being serving. To keep the bubbly truly bubbly, pour your mimosas as you serve them.

When to Serve Christmas Mimosas

These white Christmas mimosas can be enjoyed pretty much anytime through the holiday season. But, they’re extra perfect for Christmas morning brunch or as a light drink on Christmas Eve. I know others who love to serve Christmas mimosas with their holiday meal as well!

How to Serve Mimosas For a Group

Since these Christmas mimosas should not be prepared in advance, the best way to serve them to a crowd is to keep the juice in a pitcher on the table and the champagne chilled in a bucket of ice. Then you can just pour and serve right on the table!
