Love watermelon? Love margaritas? Combine the two in this delightful Watermelon Margarita recipe! Perfectly balanced with the sweetness of watermelon and the tang of lime, this cocktail is a refreshing treat that will transport you to a tropical paradise.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ ounces silver tequila
  • 1 ounce orange liqueur
  • ¾ ounce lime juice
  • ½ ounce simple syrup
  • ¼ cup watermelon
  • 3 tablespoons water
  • Coarse salt or sugar and water in a shallow dish
  • Lime wheel for garnish

Supplies

  • Glass filled ¾ with ice
  • Cocktail shaker and strainer
  • Cocktail jigger
  • Strainer or sieve
  • Blender, food processor or Nutribullet
  • Salt or sugar the rim of the glass and add ice

Instructions

  1. Add the watermelon and water to your blender/Nutribullet. Blend/pulse until smooth. Add more water if necessary.
  2. Place a sieve over the cocktail shaker and pour in the mixture.
  3. Add the silver tequila to the cocktail shaker.
  4. Add the orange liqueur to the cocktail shaker
  5. Add the lime juice to the cocktail shaker 
  6. Add the simple syrup to the cocktail shaker. 
  7. Add ice to the cocktail shaker and put the top on. Shake until combined.
  8. Strain the mixture into the margarita glass.
  9. Add a lime wedge if desired and enjoy!
