Easy Strawberries and Cream Martini
This Strawberry Shortcake Martini is so simple but so good. It includes one of my current favorite liqueurs, Bailey’s Strawberries and Cream, which gives it a rich, creamy base and lots of strawberry flavor. Add in some coconut rum for an added boost and strawberry simple syrup for more sweetness and flavor.
You can serve it just like that, garnished with a strawberry, or go all out and turn this into an epic dessert martini by adding vanilla frosting and graham cracker crumbs to the rim.
This makes a great Valentine’s Day cocktail but would also be lovely for Mother’s Day, Easter, and a special treat during the summer!

What You’ll Need
This easy strawberry shortcake martini is made with just 3 main ingredients, plus a few garnishes.
- Bailey’s Strawberries and Cream – This adds a sweet strawberry undertone to the drink.
- Coconut rum – This doesn’t add a super coconut-y flavor but definitely makes the drink a bit stronger! You can use regular white rum if desired.
- Strawberry simple syrup – You can make your own or just find it on Amazon.
- Ice cubes – For shaking the drink.
- Frosting & graham crackers – For decorating the rim of this fun dessert martini.
- Fresh strawberries – As a garnish.

How to Make a Strawberry Shortcake Martini
Here’s how to make this easy dessert martini.
- Decorate the rim. Dip the rim of the martini glass in the frosting, then into graham cracker crumbs.
- Shake. Add the rum, Bailey’s, and strawberry simple syrup to a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake to chill.
- Enjoy. Pour into the martini glass, add a strawberry garnish, and enjoy!
Recipe Tips & Variations
Here are a few tips & variations for this strawberries and cream martini.
- What can I use in place of Bailey’s Strawberries and Cream? This strawberry liqueur is usually quite easy to find but in a pinch, you can use any other strawberry liqueur like Tequila Rose or O’Donnells Strawberry Cream.
- Make your own strawberry simple syrup. To make your own strawberry simple syrup, follow the directions for homemade simple syrup but add fresh sliced strawberries to the mixture. Once the mixture cools, muddle the strawberries. You can strain it for a fine simple syrup or use it with the pieces of berries.
- Use vodka instead of rum. Not a rum fan? Swap the coconut rum for cake vodka or vanilla vodka.

Can I Make This Martini For a Crowd?
Yes, it’s super easy to make a big batch of this dessert martini. You’ll want to use equal parts Bailey’s and rum, but you may want to use less simple syrup. I find 2 parts Bailey’s, 2 parts rum, and 1 part simple syrup works for a pitcher martini.
If you can, prepare the ingredients in a pitcher and chill for an hour or two. You can also decorate the martini glasses in advance and pour straight from the pitcher to the glasses.
