Raise your hand if you like Fireball cinnamon whisky. Now raise your hand if you like apple flavors. If you said yes to both, you are in for a treat!

These Green Apple Fireball Shots are made with your favorite cinnamon whiskey, green apple jello, and water. That’s it! I like to add some Green Apple O’s as a garnish but that’s optional.

With their bright green color and cinnamon apple flavor, I think these jello shots are fitting for both Halloween and Christmas. But I also admit that I love them so much that they’ll be made year-round for sure. They do add a festive touch to the holiday table, though!

ingredients to make green apple jello shots; a bottle of fireball whiskey, two bags of trolli apple o's and a box of green apple jelly

  • Green apple jello mix – Gives the bright green color and apple flavor to the jello shots.
  • Water – You can also substitute a week or two of apple juice here for a stronger apple flavor.
  • Fireball – The cinnamon whisky gives these a cinnamon apple flavor and, of course, provides the booze.
  • Trolli Green Apple O’s – I like to garnish my shots with these before serving but they are optional.

Jello Shot Essentials

  • Condiment cups – Unless you have a large stash of shot glasses, you’ll want to make your jello shots in condiment cups. Most jello shots are made in 2 ounce condiment cups but if you want the shots to go further, you can use 1 ounce condiment cups instead.
  • Sauce pan – You’ll want to use a decent, non-stick saucepan for preparing your jello shots. We like this one.
  • Baster – A baster is my secret to easily filling the jello shot cups, without making a mess!
  • Measuring cups – To ensure you’re adding the right amount of water and liquor, you’ll want a decent measuring cup as well.

How to Make Cinnamon Apple Jello Shots

  • Prepare the jello. Bring two cups of water to a boil and dissolve the jello in it.
  • Add the other ingredients. Remove the pan from here and add the Fireball and cold water.
  • Pour & chill. Pour into the condiment cups then chill in the fridge for at least 4 hours (but overnight is better).
  • Enjoy. Top with an apple O before serving and enjoy!

Tips for the Best Jello Shots

  • Use a baking sheet. I find it much easier to work with jello shots when I place all of the cups on a baking sheet. It’s much easier to transfer them to the fridge and just keeps the process more organized.
  • Enhance the apple flavor. As I mentioned above, you can use apple juice in place of the water (or at least part of it) to give these fireball jello shots even more of an apple flavor.
  • Make a day in advance. Jello shots are best when made in advance as they really do need to set overnight.

How Long Will These Last?

These fireball jello shots can be stored in the fridge for up to 5 days. Once the jello has set, you can add the lid to the container and stack them so they take up less room. They should remain in the fridge until time to serve.
