Christmas Jello Shots

You can make jello shots for just about any holiday, but Christmas cookie jello shots are different. To be able to enjoy an adult beverage that tastes like gingerbread is AMAZING. You’ll love the sweetness of the different alcohols, but the other ingredients help bring everything together. Whipped cream and cinnamon sugar bring a lot to this recipe.

What You’ll Need

  • Water – A simple, yet necessary ingredient.
  • Unflavored gelatin – You’ll need gelatin to help thicken up your drink.
  • White chocolate liqueur – This will help your jello shots get the right flavor or alcohol.
  • Gingerbread liqueur – Another fun liqueur that is needed for this drink.
  • Marshmallow vodka – This vodka will help bring the drink together.
  • Stick-on gingerbread men – This is optional, but so much fun!
  • Whipped cream, for garnish – A little whipped cream will help make this recipe delicious.
  • Cinnamon sugar, for garnish – You’ll love the flavor of the cinnamon and sugar added.

How to Make Gingerbread Jello Shots

  • Start making the drink. In a microwave-safe bowl, heat the water for 1 minute. 
  • Add the gelatin. Sprinkle the unflavored gelatin on top of the water and allow it to sit for 1 minute. Whisk until the gelatin is dissolved.
  • Start adding the vodka. Add in the 1 cup of marshmallow vodka
  • It’s time for the white chocolate liqueur. Add in the 1/2 cup white chocolate liqueur
  • Time for the gingerbread liqueur. Add in the 1/2 cup gingerbread liqueur
  • Now the fun part begins. Add the stick-on gingerbread mean on the front of the cups.
  • Make the jello shots. Pour the mixture into the 12 cups, filling almost to the top of each cup.
  • Time to store the jello shots. Chill for at least 4 hours. Garnish with a bit of whipped topping and a sprinkle of cinnamon sugar.

Jello Shot Essentials

  • Condiment cups – Unless you have a large stash of shot glasses, you’ll want to make your jello shots in condiment cups. Most jello shots are made in 2 ounce condiment cups but if you want the shots to go further, you can use 1 ounce condiment cups instead.
  • Sauce pan – You’ll want to use a decent, non-stick saucepan for preparing your jello shots. We like this one.
  • Baster – A baster is my secret to easily filling the jello shot cups, without making a mess!
  • Measuring cups – To ensure you’re adding the right amount of water and liquor, you’ll want a decent measuring cup as well.
